It will further oxidize C(s) formed into CO2(g)
C(s) + 2 H2SO4(l) --> CO2(g) + 2 SO2(g) + 2 H2O(l)
Since oxidation number of C increases from 0 (C) to +4 (C in CO2),
concentrated sulphuric acid thus is an oxidizing agent
